Recently, I traveled to Ireland and had the good fortune to stay in two mansions built in the 1700's. I loved the way the hosts mixed and matched china for breakfast each morning. This set would be perfect to draw upon for a bed and breakfast or a garden party, mixing with other treasured finds or used alone!

This cup is one of the 45 piece set which includes 8 cups, 8 saucers, 8 salad plates, 8 dinner plates, 8 soup/salad bowls, 1 serving bowl, 1 serving oval platter and a cream/sugar with lid. The set appears to be unused. No chips or cracks are found. One bowl has 2 or 3 black specks from the production stage. Very minor flaw! Each piece is hallmarked, "Made in China C. Art HK," with additional Oriental writing. Each piece has a fine line of gilding along the edge.

Rocking Horse Door Stop in Aged Cast Iron

This little rocking horse has lots of age! The paint is original. I believe it was originally used as a doorstop  but could be re-purposed in lots of ways within a decorating theme. It sits on an iron base and is stable. Great shelf sitter. It is two sided. Age is estimated to be c1900+-.

Kelly Tire Advertisement Promotion Green Depression Glass Ashtrays

Here is a pair of Kelly Tire ashtrays, c1930's. They are offered separately or as a pair. The inserts have an advertisement molded into green depression glass. The tires are miniature replicas of actual tires, including markings. About 6 3/8" in diameter. Neither appears to have been used as an ashtray. Both are in excellent condition!

Art Glass Vase Gorgeous in Greens

This art glass vase has a base color of the softest sherbert lime green. It is enhanced in the Murano style with chunks of glass in a deeper hue of green embedded and floating in the bowl of the vase. The vase is blown and hand shaped. It has a delicate coiled ribbon of kelly green glass that encircles the neck and forms the handle. Stands 8.75 inches tall and the bowl has a diameter of about 4.75 inches. The center opening is 1.25 inches.

Faux Mother of Pearl Tano Cigarette Case

From an era when women did more hand sewing! Here is a highly decorated sterling silver needle case. It is marked .925. It has a delicate chain attached to both pieces to keep the cap from being lost.

Celluloid Advertisement Tape Measure

This is a small tape measure, probably in a woman's sewing or kitchen setting. It is made of an early form of plastic called "Celluloid." On one side the advertisement script is in red, on the flip side it is written in blue. The center button retracts the tape measure. The collector if sewing items, tape measures, advertisement pieces or celluloid items might find this tape measure of interest.

Steamer Immigrant Trunk in Tin and Oak

This steamer trunk has a solid construction. The wood is wrapped on the outside in tine and then reinforced with Oak strips and decorative metal. It has a domed "camel" top.

At one time there were leather handles on either side. Now missing.

 The original lock is all there and probably would work if a key could be located!

 The trunk has been washed in wood soap to remove "musty" smell common to these old trunks. It has been aired in fresh air and sunshine.

 The lid is supported with a hinge on the right side. Paper lines the trunk and may be original to the trunk. The lid has a picture pasted in which I do not believe to be original. I have left everything as I found it. The new owner can make decisions about what needs to be refinished or left alone.

There may have been a divider between the lid and the lower section to store items in the two small upper divided sections of the lid.
