Cast Iron Cat Trough

I have always loved the look and feel of old metal. Cast iron was used for so many decorative and household items in the 1800's and early 1900's. This little trough is called a cat trough. Barn cats were given their "mice control" reward in the form of fresh milk at daily milking times. Some call this small trough a salesman sample or a peeps feed trough. Some say it may have even been used as a bread pan. I suppose all are possible. And if you have no barn cat waiting for fresh milk, perhaps this miniature trough could be the designated key holder or find use in the sewing room. This item is now for sale in WRCAM, booth PPR. Call Woolbright's River City Antique Mall at 920-295-3475 to arrange for purchase and shipment.
