Northwood Crimped Star Opalescent Coin Spot Pitcher

Ruby Opalescent Coin Spot C1890 by Harry Northwood

EAPG by Northwood Displaying Crimped Star Rim and Spout
Harry Northwood designed this magnificent pressed glass pitcher. The pattern is called Ruby Opalescent Coin Spot. The upper rim is in the shape of a crimped star and is sometimes referred to by that name. The water set line is featured on page 100 of Harry Northwood The Early Years by Heacock. The ruby color is fantastic and the blending of opalescent glass on the coin spots and upper rim is beautiful. It has an applied handle. This pitcher would predate the carnival glass pieces made by Northwood. It is a magnificent example of Early American Pressed Glass! There is a large selection of pitchers in our booth (PPR). They range in price from $60 to $600 depending on the condition, color,  and rarity of the pattern. Most are Pattern Glass or EAPG but there are also several carnival glass pitchers. Call Woolbright's River City Antique Mall at 920-295-3475 to arrange for purchase and shipment.
